Life-What’s It All About?

Spiritual health is more important than physical health. “Who am I?,” “Why am I here?,” and, “What am I going to do with the rest of my life?”: are core, age old, human questions, we all ask. When I’m talking to patients that are about to die, knowing the answers to these questions is eternally more important than will I live to see the next day’s newspaper headlines. These questions if answered in light of the Bible truths, put our lives in perspective and give us a God given purpose for living. One book in the Bible helps us with these goals - Romans.

Life’s Road Thru Romans

Romans 3:10,12

There is none righteous, no, not one...there is none that does good, no not one.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 14:12

Everyone of us shall give an account of himself to God.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 4:24-25

If we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead: Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Romans 5:10

When we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled we shall be saved by His life.

Romans 5:18

Therefore as by the offences of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 5:1-2

We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:11

We also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Romans 12:12

Rejoicing in hope, be patient in tribulation; continuing constantly in prayer.

Romans 6:11,14

Reckon...yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 8:16-17

We are children of God: and if children, then heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ.

Romans 8:28

We know that all things work together for good to them that love God.

Romans 12:2

Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 15:16

I should be the minister of Jesus Christ,...ministering the gospel of God.

If we accept this faith, we will have a “peace that passeth all understanding.” This is the only medicine that can heal mankind.
