- For The Kitchen Challenged Male from "Rust Out" by Dr. Royce Bailey, page 83Most health books are full of Recipes (up to 75% of a book may be made up of recipes). So, I add my own single recipe here, not to be left out. Most men can’t cook. This one is for the man. You will need: One box of lasagna noodles, 16 ounces (oz). One jar of spaghetti sauce, 26 oz; more is alright. One box of soft tofu, 14 - 16 oz. Two boxes of chopped frozen spinach, total 10 oz.
Directions: Layer dry noodles in the bottom of a 9" x 12" glass baking dish (the type that will not break in the oven). Cover with the spaghetti sauce. Next, layer with thawed spinach. Place another layer of dry noodles in the glass dish. Cover again with spaghetti sauce. Pour tofu water from the box into the casserole dish. Layer with sliced or crumbled tofu. Then layer again with dry noodles. Cover again with spaghetti sauce. Add 1/2 cup of water to the dish. This should have taken the average man five minutes to do. If you’re lost in the kitchen, add 15 minutes. Optional: To make it more challenging, guys, try adding cut olives, fresh tomatoes, and/or sliced veggies (broccoli, bell peppers, etc.) on top. Add yeast flakes (Brewers or Nutritional), in place of Parmesan cheese, to top it off. Ready, Bake: Cover the glass dish with aluminum foil (it may bubble over in the oven - just think of your clean up duties). Bake at 400° for 90 minutes (don’t forget it in the oven, as I have). Serve to your very impressed friends and family. Enjoy. |
